• Złoty Widok Observation Deck – one of the most interesting spots in the area. An ideal place to admire the Karkonosze Mountains.
• Szklarki Waterfall – one of the most beautiful in Poland. This attraction should definitely be on your list of places to see.
• Chybotek – a rock formation that is one of the most famous attractions in Szklarska Poręba. It is about 4 metres long and weighs several tonnes. 
• Zakręt Śmierci (Death Bend) – a viewpoint, or more precisely, the most famous road bend in Poland, between Szklarska Poręba and Świeradów-Zdrój. There is a viewpoint overlooking the Karkonosze Mountains and the Jelenia Góra Valley.
• Kamieńczyk Waterfall – considered one of the most interesting attractions in the entire Karkonosze Mountains. It is located in the Karkonosze National Park. 
• Mineralogical Museum in Szklarska Poręba – with over 3,000 exhibits.
• Wlastimilówka – the house of painter Wlastimil Hofman, a representative of symbolism. 
• Karkonosze National Park – home to thousands of plant species, peat bogs, waterfalls, mouflons and other attractions. 
• The Hauptmann House in Szklarska Poręba – home to Carl and Gerhart Hauptmann, famous writers. 
• Wysoka Kopa – the highest peak of the Jizera Mountains.

Attractions in the Czech Republic

Only a few kilometres separate Szklarski Kamień from the Czech border. There, more attractions await you. One of the most interesting is the ski jump complex in Harrachov. There is also a giant ski jump there, which allows jumps of over 185 m. 

Another attraction is Izerka, a small settlement located on a vast meadow. 

Places worth visiting on the Czech side of the border include the spectacular Mumlavský vodopád (a picturesque complex of waterfalls on the Mumlawa stream) and the monumental Labská přehrada dam.

It is also worth visiting the museum in Kořenov dedicated to the adventurer Jára Cimrman. While in the Czech Republic, be sure to try the local cuisine, especially dumplings, traditional Czech goulash and dill soup.
